What was intended to be a simple, promotional piece starting back in early 2010’s, developed a life of its own. Throughout the years I was tasked with designing a calendar that had information about our products, and it also needed to be aesthetically pleasing enough that we could get scientists to hang them in their labs. Something as simple as a calendar, when designed with intent and purpose, accelerated sales and the calendar became a memorable piece institutions and labs across the world were requesting.

The 2018 Applied Genomics Calendar won a HOW In-House Design Awards Merit Award. It was chosen as one of 70 Merit award-winning designs in the HOW In-House Design Awards, which recognizes the very best creative work produced by designers doing in-house work for corporations, associations and organizations. The calendar also won gold in the Summit Creative Award and a winner for APEX 2018. Designed with augmented reality, one could download the app and see the image move in real time when hovering over the individual months.
